Manley Mere Adventure Trail meanders through woodland, alongside a stream
with obstacles and challenges on the way...it's a great way of having fun and spending quality time
with the children: - All equipment is self-propelled
and cleverly fits into the surroundings. It is a country walk as well as an adventure so there is always an easy way around
- just walk past!
- Wherever possible obstacles are made from recycled material
and re-used agricltural equipment - see if you can guess what things were in a previous life!
- The trail is suitable for children of all ages - from 1yr to 100 year olds. Dogs are welcome - just keep them on
a lead & clear up after them.
- Age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
- £6.50 per person per day - trail entrance, £2.00 car parking per day.
- Plase pay at the shop BEFORE you start. Eveyone pays except under 4's.
- The trail is about 1 1/2 miles long. Tickets are valid all day. There is no set route - discovering
hidden things is part of the fun!
- There are changing rooms (a change of
clothes is advised!) and a cold water hose to get any mud off hands & face before getting into your
car, or going into the Chameleon Bar & Restaurant!
- You are welcome
to bring a picnic, however, picnics are not allowed in the restaurant, outside restaurant area or the school room (ie consider
the weather!). There are picnic tables available to use.

Let's go.... You

Cross the stream on a rope swing...
Great for team-building or families wanting a fun day outdoors.
The rolling bridge may surprise you...
Another bridge wobbles as you walk. Have you ever seen a three man seesaw?
Been dunked on a dunking chair?
Spun on a giant hamster wheel?

Birdlife is in abundance
with a large variety
of water birds, wild geese and ducks
as well as woodland birds.
You may also spot a rabbit, and if you're quiet ..... a fox or
even a badger.
On
the trail you will see oak, ash, lime, horse chestnut, maple, willow and
alder trees. In spring look out for the wild garlic flowering along the banks of the stream - you'll probably smell it
before you see it!! There is lots to learn about nature while having fun
on the trail.
Meals and drinks are available from The Chameleon Bar & Restaurant, situated near the entrance
of the trail. Seating indoors or outdoors with lovely
lake views.
£6.50 per person per day (under
4's are free) Age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult Parking £2 per car per day
